Our Homecourt event was a resounding success! On Thursday, June 27, legendary former Coach Roy Williams came down to speak about the intersection of sports and community housing. This was done in partnership with Fayetteville State University’s Athletic Department. The purpose of this fundraiser was to support our mission and fund future home repair projects. We owe the success of Homecourt to the generous contributions of our sponsors for the event.

Following a VIP meet-and-greet session, attendees sat at FSU's Felton J. Capel Arena for lunch and conversation with Coach and our very own CEO Brandon Price. Attendees listened to Coach Williams' perspective on the importance of secure, reliable housing and its ties to his successful basketball coaching career. In the arena, featured storyboards highlighted the experiences of our Habitat beneficiaries, and exhibits showcased Trade Days’ tools and items from our Restore.

A heartfelt thank you goes out to the event sponsors whose generosity made Homecourt possible: Fayetteville State University Athletic Department, Leidos, Cape Fear Valley Health, Up & Coming Weekly, Cumulus Media, Longleaf Pine Realtors, Ben Stout Construction, Allegra, and Sweet Valley Ranch. A special thanks to Tony Wooten for helping with photography, The Belmont Village, and Balloon Pops whose services provided a successful event.
